About this tour
Cappadocia's balloons fly only at first light, when the air over the valleys is at its calmest. You are collected from your hotel in the dark, have a coffee at the launch field while the balloons are inflated, and lift off as the sun comes up over the fairy chimneys. The flight lasts about an hour and drifts over valleys such as Love, Rose and Red Valley — the wind of that morning decides the route, not the pilot. After landing, the crew holds the traditional celebration with a toast and a flight certificate, and you are back at your hotel in time for breakfast. Choose a shared basket or a private basket for your family or partner; either way you fly with a company licensed by Turkey's Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

What happens if the weather is bad?
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation decides every morning whether balloons may fly. If flights are cancelled, you choose a full refund or the next flying morning — which is why we suggest booking your first morning in Cappadocia.
Is it safe?
Balloon flights in Cappadocia may only be operated by companies licensed by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM), and balloons take off only on mornings when the weather approval is given.
Can pregnant women or young children fly?
Pregnant passengers cannot fly. Operators set a minimum age for children, usually 6 or 7 — tell us the ages when you request a quote.
Shared or private basket?
A shared basket flies with other guests; a private basket carries only your group and suits proposals, anniversaries and families. Ask for either in your quote.
How long is the flight?
About an hour in the air. With pickup, briefing and landing, plan on around three and a half hours.
