Cappadocia Hot Air Balloon Day Trip

Yes — with an early morning flight. Most day trips depart Istanbul at 06:00–07:00 and return by 22:00–23:00. The balloon experience is at sunrise, followed by Göreme Valley, Derinkuyu underground city, and Avanos pottery. It's a long day but completely doable.

Yes. Cappadocia balloon operators are licensed by the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority. Flights take place only in calm, clear conditions — cancelled if winds exceed safety limits. Our partner uses modern Ultramagic/Cameron balloons with experienced pilots.

Balloon flights take off approximately 30–45 minutes before sunrise — usually around 05:30–06:30 depending on the season. You're collected from your hotel around 04:30–05:00.

If the balloon is cancelled on the day due to wind conditions, the flight cost is fully refunded. The rest of the day tour continues. We try to rebook on the next morning if you're staying overnight.

Istanbul airport transfer (IST) for the early morning departure is available from €85. Transfers from Nevşehir or Kayseri airport on the return are included in the day trip package.

By domestic flight — Istanbul (IST or SAW) to Cappadocia (either Nevşehir Airport or Kayseri Airport). Flight time is about 1.5 hours. Flights are arranged as part of the package.
