The fastest way is to fly: Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, and AJet all operate direct flights from Istanbul (IST or SAW) to Bodrum Milas Airport (BJV). Flight duration is 1 hour 10 minutes. From Bodrum airport, a private transfer to Bodrum town takes about 40 minutes, or to Turgutreis / Yalıkavak 60–75 minutes.

Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) to Bodrum is also 1h10m, often cheaper via Pegasus Airlines. In summer, charter flight frequency increases significantly.

There is no regular direct ferry from Istanbul to Bodrum. The journey by sea would take approximately 18–22 hours via the Aegean. Some seasonal cruise routes include both Istanbul and Bodrum, but for practical travel, flying (1h10m) or a private VIP road transfer (9–11 hours via Izmir) are the options.

Bodrum's main season runs May to October. June and September are ideal: warm sea (24°C+), manageable crowds, and lower prices than July–August peak. July and August are the most vibrant but also the most expensive and crowded — expect 35°C+ and a very lively nightlife and club scene. Spring (April–May) is quiet and beautiful for hiking and sightseeing.
