COP31 brings tens of thousands of delegates, observers and journalists to Antalya for two weeks, nearly all of them landing at one airport and heading to one venue. The official shuttles carry accredited participants between the official hotels and the site. Everything else needs a plan: the airport run with luggage, a hotel that is not on the list, a delegation that wants to travel together.
Where and when
The conference runs from 9 to 20 November 2026 at the Antalya EXPO Center in Aksu: the former EXPO 2016 grounds, renamed the COP31 Area and being turned into a permanent fair and congress centre. It sits east of the airport on the Antalya–Alanya road, and the organisers put it about 20 minutes from Antalya Airport (AYT).
The site has two parts. The Blue Zone is for accredited participants and the negotiations; the Green Zone is for exhibitions, pavilions and visitors who register. Your badge decides which gate you can use. Drop-off points for private cars are set by the organisers, and we follow them as they are announced.
Don't confuse it with ANFAŞ. Antalya has a second exhibition centre, ANFAŞ, right beside the airport, and the summit is not there. If you give a taxi an address, ask for the EXPO grounds, the COP31 Area.
The free shuttles, and who they leave out
Accredited participants travel on free shuttles that stop at the hotels on the official COP31 accommodation platform. Routes and timetables are due before the summit, together with a transport map and app.
That leaves three groups to plan their own way: guests in a hotel, villa or flat outside the official list; Green Zone visitors without accreditation; and anyone who would rather not wait for a shared bus with luggage after a late landing.
Where you stay decides your commute
The venue is on the airport side of the city. That makes the eastern areas the easy ones on a summit morning; staying on the west side means crossing Antalya twice a day. The table sets each area against the venue and shows our fixed price from the airport.
| Area | To the venue | From the airport, fixed price |
|---|---|---|
| Lara & Kundu | Closest: on the venue's side of the city | from €40 |
| Belek | Close: further east along the same road | from €47 |
| City centre & Kaleiçi | Across the city: allow extra time at rush hour | from €40 |
| Konyaaltı | West side: the longest run within the city | from €40 |
| Side | Far east along the coast: early starts | from €59 |
| Kemer | Far south-west: early starts | from €59 |
Turkish press reports hotels across Antalya filling up for the summit dates. If your room is further out, the commute still works with an early start. Book the daily runs ahead rather than looking for a taxi at the gate at the end of the day.
Arrival day: from AYT to your hotel
Share your flight number when you book and we track the flight. An early or late landing moves the pickup with it, delays cost nothing extra and the first 60 minutes of waiting after landing are included.
The price is fixed when you book and is per vehicle, not per person, so colleagues on the same flight can share one van. A larger delegation travels together in a Sprinter.
Summit days: timing
- 1
Leave early. Expect heavy traffic on the Antalya–Serik road in the morning and evening rush, and security queues at the gates.
- 2
Book the ride back too. Sessions overrun, especially in the final days, when negotiations often go late into the night. A booked car waits for you; a taxi rank late at night may not.
- 3
Keep your badge on you. Without accreditation nobody gets into the Blue Zone, whoever drives them there.
- 4
Watch the official app. Shuttle times change with the programme; check them on the day before you rely on them.
Booking
Enter your flight and your hotel in the booking form and the fixed price appears straight away, for the airport run and for any hotel ↔ venue trip you want to add. Book as early as you can: November is normally quiet in Antalya, but not this year.
