Istanbul·6-10 hours
Price on request
A long connection in Istanbul does not have to be spent at a gate. Your guide meets you at arrivals, a private car is waiting outside, and the route is built backwards from your onward flight: we decide what you can see by counting back from the time you need to be at check-in, not the other way round. Six hours on the ground is the realistic minimum — passport control, the drive in and the drive back eat into it — and eight to ten hours is when the day becomes comfortable enough for Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and lunch without watching the clock. Shorter connections get a shorter route, usually the Bosphorus shore and Sultanahmet from the outside rather than a queue at a ticket desk. You leave the airport, so you pass through Turkish immigration: check your own visa or e-Visa rules before you request a quote.
Your guide meets you past passport control; allow 30-45 minutes at a busy hour.
About 45 minutes from IST, an hour from SAW, traffic depending.
Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome stand within one square.
One of the two — both need a ticket and a queue, and a layover has room for one.
A table your guide knows in Sultanahmet or Eminönü, not a coach stop.
Whichever suits the time left and the weather.
The driver leaves the city with the return traffic already counted in.
Three hours before your onward flight — two for a domestic connection.
Six hours on the ground is the minimum that works, and it buys a short route. Eight to ten hours is comfortable. Under six we will tell you it is not worth leaving the airport rather than sell you a rushed tour.
Yes — you pass through Turkish immigration like any arriving passenger. Many nationalities need an e-Visa, some need none, some need a consular visa. Check your own passport rules before you book; the border is not something we can arrange.
Touristanbul is a real and good option if your ticket qualifies: it is free, it is a group, and it leaves at fixed times on a fixed route. This tour is private, starts when your flight lands, and goes where you choose. If the free tour fits your connection, take it — we would rather say so.
Checked bags stay with the airline to your final destination. Hand luggage rides in the car with you, or goes into the airport left-luggage office if you prefer to travel light.
We track the flight number, so the guide is there when you actually land. A short delay shortens the route. A long one cancels the tour with no charge.
Yes. SAW is on the Asian side, so the drive in is a little longer and the return needs a wider margin. The itinerary is the same, with one stop fewer.
