Pamukkale Day Trip from Istanbul

Yes — swimming in the natural travertine pools is allowed in designated areas. Shoes must be removed before walking on the terraces. The water temperature is a constant 36°C year-round.

Approximately 12 hours total including flights (each ~1h15min). Time at the site is around 4–5 hours. Most tours depart Istanbul at 07:00 and return by 21:00.

The Antique Pool has a separate entry fee (~€20) not included in the tour price. It's optional — you swim among genuine submerged Roman columns. Highly recommended.

Bring a swimsuit and towel for the pools, sunscreen (the white terraces reflect UV intensely), comfortable sandals or flip-flops (shoes are banned on the terraces), and a hat or sun protection for the 12+ hour day.

April–June and September–October are ideal: mild 20–28°C, shorter queues. July–August is very hot (35–40°C) but peak season — arrive early morning. November–March is cooler and quiet, but some terraces may have less water flow.
