🏢 TÜYAP Fair Center — Büyükçekmece
TÜYAP is Istanbul's largest fairground — 12 halls, 120,000 m² of exhibition space, and the venue for INTERMOB, Istanbul Book Fair, Istanbul Auto Show, Hostech and dozens of B2B events. It sits in Büyükçekmece, around 35 km west of Sultanahmet. Closest to Istanbul Airport (IST), inconveniently far from Sabiha Gökçen.
The E-5/D-100 highway feeding into Büyükçekmece can grind to a halt between 08:00–10:00 and 17:00–19:30. Plan to arrive 30–45 minutes earlier than your meeting if travelling during these windows — or aim for a 10:00 arrival and a 16:00 departure to skip the worst.
🏢 CNR Expo / Istanbul Expo Center — Yeşilköy
CNR Expo (Istanbul Expo Center) is right next to the former Atatürk Airport site in Yeşilköy — closer to the city centre than TÜYAP and well-connected to Istanbul Airport via the O-7 motorway. Host of Beauty Eurasia, Sign Istanbul, Anatolian Jewellery Show, Premiere Vision and a year-round B2B calendar.
From Sultanahmet, plan 35–50 minutes by VIP transfer. From Taksim or Beşiktaş, 30–45 minutes. From Istanbul Airport (IST), it's a short 15 km / 20–30 minute hop. Cross-continental visitors from Kadıköy or Üsküdar should budget 60–90 minutes through Bosphorus traffic.
💡 Business Traveller Tips
Book the Return Transfer Too
Don't rely on hailing a taxi outside the venue at 18:00 — fair-day demand spikes and licensed taxis disappear. Book your return at the same time as your outbound.
Stack Hourly for Delegations
If your delegation has 3+ stops in one day (factory visit, fair, dinner), book a Mercedes V-Class on hourly hire — the driver waits at each stop.
Use IST for Western Fairs
TÜYAP and CNR are both on the European side. Flying into IST (not SAW) saves 30+ minutes and €20 in cross-Bosphorus tolls.

Lütfi Kırdar Short Hops
